ROCHESTER, Mich. - The Oakland men's golf team finished second in the Horizon League preseason poll, collecting 90 points. 

Wright State was unanimously selected as the top team, earning 100 points. 

The defending champions have brought back 2021 Golfer of the Year and Championship Medalist Thomas Giroux and Freshman of the Year Yaro Ilyenko, along with All-League Second Team honoree Colin Sikkenga. This year the Horizon League Championships will take place Apr. 24-26 at Mission Inn Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla. 

The competition continues as Oakland will host the Orlando Invitational, Feb. 28-Mar. 1 at Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla.
