ROCHESTER, Mich. - Jack Klomparens will join the 2022 Oakland men's soccer roster announced by Head Coach Eric Pogue.

An attacking midfielder from Holland High School, Klomparens played soccer for United Midwest Academy and on the Holland High School team for two years. During his high school seasons, Klomparens was named captain, earned All-State honors, and led his team to a District championship win. The Michigan native also earned a 2021 State Cup Championship title.

"We are super excited to add a player of top-caliber like Jack Klomparens to our central midfield this Fall. Jack's got a lovely left foot, great vision, excellent technical ability, and high soccer IQ. Still, most importantly, Jack possesses all the intangible qualities we look for—high character, tremendous attitude, fantastic teammate, top-notch work rate, leadership, & a strong desire to win championships and compete at the national level," Pogue said. "He'll look great in Black & Gold!"

Off the soccer field, Klomparens was part of the National Honors Society and earned a spot on the Honor Roll.

Top three reasons for Klomparens choosing Oakland
1. I liked the players on the team
2. The coaches are very knowledgeable and easy-going people
3. I like the campus
