
ROCHESTER, Mich. - Gabe Lux went 1-for-1 with a pair of walks while
Jared Miller,
Brenton Phillips,
Ian Cleary and
Josh Dudden each recorded one of Oakland's five hits as the Golden Grizzlies fell in the resumed second leg of a doubleheader. The game was postponed due to darkness on Saturday and resumed in the top of the eighth inning on Sunday afternoon.
Dan Rutan took the mound for Oakland (8-14, 2-9 HL) in the eighth throwing one shutout inning, allowing no hits, with no walks and one strikeout.
UIC (6-11, 5-6 HL) took a commanding 13-0 in the seventh inning when Dudden came across to score off a fielding error to put Oakland in the board.
Austin Higgins came across to score the Golden Grizzlies' second run of the game in the eighth inning. UIC added a two-run homer in the ninth en route to the series-clinching win.
