
FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- After the third day of competition, the Oakland women's team continues to hold its place in third with 84.5 points. With many strong finishes today, the men's team has moved to third place as well, with 69 points.
Azsah Bradley finished second in the 60m (7.58) after breaking the school record in the prelims yesterday with a time of 7.56. Marthea Vann-Scott placed fourth (7.78) in the 60m. Maddi Leigh took second in the 800 (2:17.17) and sixth in the mile with a time of 5:15.60.
Ashley Quinn placed eighth in the 800 (2:23.84). In the 60m hurdles, Jaylah Walton placed fourth (8.92) followed by Naomi Hallman in sixth (9.02). Alexis Hunter placed second in the triple jump with a distance of 38 ft., 3.25 in. Briana Walker took third place in the 400m (58.41) followed by Payton Sabourin in fifth place (58.95).
The Oakland men swept the 400m with Jimmie Williams in first (48.05), Justin Kudera in second (49.71), Raydoffa Braziel taking third (50.47), and Jake Kaupp in seventh (52.86). Chase Novak took fourth in the triple jump (44 ft., 6 in.) while Salvatore Narusch placed eighth (42 ft., 2 in.).
In the 60m hurdles, Kaupp took seventh with a time of 8.71. Napoleon Outlaw III took fourth (6.94) in the 60m followed by Junias Holmes in sixth place (6.97). T.J. Brooks Jr. placed fourth in the 800 (1:56.00) followed by Eddie Harrell III in fifth place (1:56.13).
The Golden Grizzlies continue their competition at 8:30 a.m. Monday.
