INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Horizon League announced their weekly #HLTF Weekly Awards, naming Oakland's
Ja-Van Poole as the conference's Men's Runner of the Week.
Poole earned the nod in his first action of the outdoor season, where he reminded the conference of his top standing in the men's 400m hurdles, earning a win in the event at the Golden Grizzlies Invite (4/4) with a time of 52.19s, a top 75 time in the nation so far this season.
He beat the next closest finisher by nearly three seconds in the race, beginning his quest to be back-to-back Horizon League 400m hurdles champion, and return to NCAA Championships as an All-American for the second season in a row.
