ROCHESTER, Mich. -- Oakland University Esports has announced its signees for League of Legends Head Coach, Carl Leone announced the inaugural roster on Monday.
 
Torin Gibbons, Walter Kealan McCutcheon, Alexander Muszynski, Dalton Rusher, Jon Schneck and Endrit Zenuni are all members of the 2020 recruiting class.
 
"I am incredibly excited about our League of Legends roster," Leone said. "Our players are very talented and well balanced. They are strong mechanical players and they have a strong understanding of the strategy of League. All players rank in the top 2% of all players in North America. I expect our team to be a true force on the national scale by the winter."

Leone hosted tryouts for the inaugural Esports teams in June, which was comprised of more than 50 players ranking in the top 12 percent of North America.
 
The 2020-21 Esports campaign will mark the first season of Division I competition for Oakland, which features a unique partnership with Team Renegades, a professional Esports team based at GameTime in Auburn Hills.
 
The Golden Grizzlies will compete in Rocket League, Super Smash Bros., and League of Legends.
