ROCHESTER, Mich. - The Oakland Esports program continues its strong fall season, notably in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, as it moved on to the national semifinals of the NACE National Playoffs.

The team is set to face off against No. 1 seed Stony Brook for a chance to punch its ticket to the finals. The teams are set to square off tomorrow (Nov. 18) at 3 p.m. ET and can be livestreamed

In the Round of 8, the Golden Grizzlies took care of business in SSBU and took a clean 2-0 sweep against Manchester. The team came off a thrilling win over Shenandoah in the Round of 16 before taking care of business in the quarters. Its first match against Manchester, Oakland narrowly came away victorious with two stocks remaining but came back for round two in a decisive victory and had five stocks remaining.

Tristan 'Triscuit' Toma begin their quest for a championship matchup against either Akron or Michigan State, but will battle with Stony Brook first.
