DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Oakland women's tennis team recorded their second shutout of the season with a 7-0 win at Bethune-Cookman on Tuesday at the City Island Center Tennis Courts behind straight set singles wins from Ava Thielman, Nirva Patel, Aarja Chakraborty and Emma Hultqvist. 

Thielman won, 6-0, 6-2, over Afrika Smith at No. 1 singles followed by Patel who outlasted Zeniece Hall, 7-6 (10-5), 6-4, in the No. 2 slot. Aarja Chakraborty defeated Diarra Thomas, 6-0, 6-2, while Emma Hultqvist downed Kimmie Egalite, 6-1, 6-0, at the No. 3 and No. 4 positions respectively. Chelsea Dzenga and Alexandra Whall won by default at the No. 5 and No. 6 spots.

In doubles action, Theilman and Victoria Kurz won 6-3 at the No. 1 position while Chelsea Dzenga and Samantha Galloway posted a 6-1 win in the No. 2 spot to take the doubles point.

Oakland will travel to Stetson for a dual match on Thursday, Feb. 28 at 11 a.m.
