SAN DIEGO - Former Oakland baseball alumnus Mike Brosseau and the Tampa Bay Rays are heading to the World Series for the first time since 2008 after holding off the Houston Astros, 4-2, in the deciding ALCS game seven on Saturday night.
Last week, the Rays advanced to the ALCS as Brosseau delivered the shot heard around the Major League Baseball world when he belted the game-winning home run off New York Yankees' closer Aroldis Chapman in the top of the ninth inning giving the Rays a 2-1 win in the ALDS deciding game five back on Oct. 10.
