ROCHESTER, Mich. — Oakland (10-31, 5-14 HL) fell to Wright State (20-22, 13-3 HL), 8-4 on Friday at the Oakland Baseball Field. Despite a late push with three runs in the sixth inning and another in the seventh, Oakland was unable to overcome a five-run outburst by Wright State in the sixth inning. The home team managed 12 hits and drew five walks, but it left 14 runners on base.

Aidan Schuck scored two runs and added a double as junior
Ben Clark picked up two hits and drove in a run, providing a solid performance at the plate. Junior right-hander
Jordan Dahlof pitched two scoreless innings, fanning three and allowing only one hit to maintain control on the mound. Fifth-year
Kyle Revere collected two hits, an RBI, and picked up a stolen bag.
Wright State took an early lead in the second inning scoring on a wild pitch. After a scoreless third inning, the Raiders extended their lead in the fourth frame with an RBI single to put themselves ahead 2-0.
In the sixth inning, Wright State's offense surged with five runs highlighted by two RBI doubles and a three-run home run. The Golden Grizzlies responded in the bottom, scoring three runs. Clark's RBI single and Revere's RBI fielder's choice brought in two runs as sophomore
Sam Patton stole home to make it, 7-3.
Wright State added another run in the seventh inning with a solo home run before Oakland's grad senior
Carter Hain drove in Schuck with an RBI single, narrowing the deficit to 8-4 after seven innings for the final score.

Ethan Glassman started on the mound for the Golden Grizzlies, pitching a big 5.1 innings while allowing five runs off of seven hits, and striking out four at the plate. Senior
Jaxson Easterlin entered in relief, pitching 1.1 innings and giving up five hits and three earned runs, as junior
Jordan Dahlof provided a strong performance, pitching two scoreless innings, allowing just one hit, and dawning three strikeouts.
Oakland and Wright State will meet for game two of the series tomorrow, May 2 at the OU Baseball Field. First pitch is set for 2 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
