GOLDEN GRIZZLIES ON THE BIGGEST STAGE | There was a 100 percent chance a former Golden Grizzly was winning a NBA Championship!

Max Hooper, spent two seasons with the Golden Grizzlies (2014-16), after graduating from St. John's, Hooper transferred to Oakland to earn his master's degree in public administration. Hooper went on to play professionally overseas and is currently the coaching associate for the 2020 NBA Champions LA Lakers.

- Named Horizon League Sixth Man of the Year
- Selected to CoSIDA Academic All-District Team
- Only player in NCAA history to attempt over 200 3-pointers without attempting a 2-point shot
- Made 117 3-pointers, fifth in the NCAA, on 257 attempts, 17th in the country
- Ranked ninth in the country in 3-pointers made per game with 3.34 and eighth in 3-point field-goal percentage at 45.5
- Made seven or more 3-pointers in five games
- Set career-high in points with 28 on eight triples vs. ETSU in semifinals of Vegas 16
- Hit a career-best nine 3-pointers at Green Bay
- Made first three 3-point attempts vs. Wright State in semifinals of Horizon League Tournament just days after losing his father to cancer

Kendrick Nunn, closed out his rookie season on the NBA's biggest stage, ultimately falling to the LA Lakers in the NBA Finals. No surprise to Grizz Nation, Nunn had an impressive first year, appearing in all 67 regular season games, all in the starting lineup, averaging 15.3 points per game in 29 minutes of action, while shooting 44 percent from the floor. He also chipped in 3.3 assists and 2.7 rebounds per game. Not to mention, the 2018 Horizon League Player of the Year, finished runner-up in the NBA Rookie of the Year voting.

RUNNING THE SHOW |
Every year at the start of the season Head Coach Greg Kampe's team is timed in the mile run. This year, sophomore Blake Lampman set a new record, clocking in at 4:50, the only Golden Grizzly to come in under five minutes. Lampman's time of 4:50 edged out Kevin Kangu's record time of 4:53 set a season ago. Rounding out those that finished under 5:30 were Kangu (5:13), Jalen Moore (5:15) and Micah Parrish (5:30).

THE "BOOGIE" MAN | 
Daniel Oladapo AKA Boogie, returns for his junior season. The 6-7 forward transferred from Chipola College after a freshman campaign that earned him Panhandle Conference Freshman of the Year honors and All-Panhandle First Team selection.

During his sophomore season with the Golden Grizzlies, Oladapo appeared in all 33 games, making 24 starts. The Bladensburg, Md. native averaged 9.2 ppg, 6.2 rebounds, and went an impressive 55 percent from the floor.

IN THE NEWS |
 The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) announced today that Detroit has been selected to host the 2024 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament Regionals at Little Caesars Arena co-hosted by the University of Detroit Mercy and Oakland University.
