OAKLAND, Calf. – Former Oakland shortstop Mike Brosseau has been called up to Major League Baseball's Tampa Bay Rays organization on Saturday afternoon. Brosseau becomes only the second player in program history to be called up the majors since Don Kirkwood who played for the California Angels (1974-77) and Toronto Blue Jays (1978). Brosseau has joined the team in California and will be available to play today as Tampa Bay takes on the Oakland Athletics at 4:07 p.m. ET at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum.

From there, he was called up to the Class A-Advanced affiliate Charlotte Stone Crabs in the Florida State League.
In 2018, Brosseau was moved up to the AA affiliate Montgomery Biscuits of the Southern League and then called up to Durham to begin the 2019 season.
