
ROCHESTER, Mich. – The Oakland baseball team travels to Mount Pleasant, Mich. for a mid-week game against in-state opponent Central Michigan on Tuesday, May. 7 at 4 p.m. The game will be broadcast live from Keilitz Field at Theunissen Stadium on CMU Student Radio WMHW-FM Mountain 91.5.
Notes:
- CMU is 34-12 on the season and sits in first place atop the Mid-American Conference standings with a 16-5 mark after sweeping Bowling Green over the weekend. Earlier this season, the Chips won against the Golden Grizzlies, 24-10 (4/9). Last season, the CMU swept all three games winning 24-9 at Oakland, 8-4 at CMU and 16-3 at Comerica Park in Detroit, Mich.

Blake Griffith hit his fourth home run of the season along with a double and single with two RBI leaving him a triple short from hitting for the cycle while
Drew Demumbrum also hit his fourth homer of the year.
Ronnie Krsolovic recorded an RBI double while
Myles Zilinsky and
Ryan Fitzgerald each added RBI singles.
Matt DiLeo also added an RBI on a sacrifice fly while
Cherokee LeBeau hit 2-for-3 with a run and
Mario Camilletti recorded a double with two runs scored.
- Oakland has played five MAC schools this season with a 2-6 mark so far after sweeping both games against Eastern Michigan, dropping a game each against Bowling Green, CMU and Toledo and three games at Miami of Ohio.

Matt DiLeo has reached base in 30 consecutive games and leads the team hitting (.310), hits (44), triples (2–8th Horizon League), runs scored (27). He ranks second in total bases (63) and stolen bases (9 – 10th HL) and slugging percentage (.444), third in walks (24) and fourth in home runs (4) and RBI (20)
