OAKLAND TRAVELS TO NORTHERN KENTUCKY FOR WEEKEND LEAGUE SERIES

Golden Grizzlies and Norse open series with a doubleheader on Saturday starting at noon followed by the series finale on Sunday, May 5 at noon

ROCHESTER, Mich. –
This weekend's Horizon League baseball series between Oakland and Northern Kentucky has been moved to Highland Heights, Kent. The Golden Grizzlies and Norse will play a doubleheader on Sat., May 4 beginning at noon followed by the series finale on Sunday, May 5 at noon at the Bill Aker Baseball Complex.

Notes:
- Parking for Lake Trust Stadium is located in the lot across from the Johnson Center at 3750 Grand River, Howell, Mich. 48855

- Oakland has not played since Apr. 23 as last weekend's series against visiting Youngstown State was cancelled due to weather and field conditions.
 
- NKU is 10-34 on the season and 8-13 in league play after dropping all three game at Milwaukee last weekend.
 
NKU Series Rewind:
- Earlier this season, Drew Demumbrum swung a hot bat hitting .455 (5-for-11) with two doubles, a triple and five RBI with a .818 slugging percentage to lead Oakland to its second straight series win at NKU. In the opener, he was a home run away from hitting for the cycle going 3-for-3 with a triple, double and single with three RBI in the Golden Grizzlies 8-5 win. In the 3-2 setback, he accounted for both of Oakland's runs going 2-for-3 with an RBI double.
 
- Nick Parr went 6.0 innings allowing only three hits with three runs and five strikeouts to pick up his first win of the season at NKU with Austin Sherry also picking up his first save of the season
 
- Beau Keathley picked up his second consecutive win going 6.0 innings with eight strikeouts allowing no runs and only three scattered hits in Oakland's 4-0 win at NKU which secured the team's second straight league series
 
Behind the plate:
- Matt DiLeo has reached base in 27 consecutive games and leads the team in hitting (.310), hits (39), triples (2 – 6th HL), runs scored (25) and stolen bases (8 – 7th HL) while ranking third in home runs (3) and walks (22)
 
- Mario Camilletti leads the team walks (36 – 3rd HL, 24th Nationally), ranks third in hits (35), average (.269) and doubles (7), fourth in runs (22)
 
- Demumbrum leads the team in RBI (28 – 10th HL), home runs (5 – 10th HL), and total bases (61), ranks second in hits (37) slugging percentage (.442) and third in triples (1)
 
- Mike McGee leads the team doubles (7) and ranks third in runs (22)
 
- Myles Zilinsky also leads the team doubles (7) ranks second in runs (23), walks (30 – 6th HL) and third in home runs (3) and RBI (18)
 
- Blake Griffith is tops in slugging percentage (.446) while ranking second in average (.281), RBI (23) and home runs (4), third in total bases (54) and fourth in hits (34) and triples (1)
 
- DiLeo and Demumbrum also are tied for ninth in the league with eight stolen bases each
 
On the mound:
Keathley leads the team and the league in strikeouts (67) and has recorded double figure strikeouts twice this season at Morehead State (12) and at YSU (13). He also ranks 21st nationally in hits allowed per nine innings (5.43) and sixth in hit batters (14). He was named Nike® Horizon League Pitcher of the Week after earning his third straight win posting eight strikeouts allowing only one hit off a bunt and one unearned run in 7.0 innings of work to lead Oakland to a 3-1 victory over Milwaukee in the series finale (4/7). Earlier in the season, Keathley was named Nike® Horizon League Pitcher of the Week and was also selected as one of Collegiate Baseball's National Players of the Week after a dominant performance on the mound going the distance tossing a complete game shutout allowing only three scattered hits while posting a career-high 13 strikeouts to lead Oakland to an 8-0 series clinching win over Keathley allowed just one hit in the first, second and ninth innings and retired 14 straight batters between the third and seventh innings.
 
- Andrew Hoffmann posted a career-high nine strikeouts in 5.0 innings of work to record his first collegiate win in Oakland's 12-5 victory over Milwaukee (4/6)
