ROCHESTER, Mich. – The Oakland baseball team closes out the regular season with a league series against Wright State that will be played at Mercy Field in Toledo, Ohio which serves as the home field to Lourdes University and Central Catholic High School. The Golden Grizzlies and Raiders will play a doubleheader on Thursday, May 16 beginning at noon presented by United Shore followed by the series finale on Friday, May 17 at 11:30 a.m. for Senior Day presented by Ascension Providence Rochester.

A look at the Raiders:
- Defending Horizon League champion Wright State is 37-15 overall on the season and sits atop the league standings at 19-8 in league play after sweeping Northern Kentucky last weekend.
Wright State Series Rewind:
- Earlier this season, Oakland had won three consecutive league series entering the weekend series at defending champion Wright State. However, WSU swept all three games (6-2, 16-4, 11-3). Against the Raiders,
Drew Demumbrum hit .385 with five hits and two home runs and three RBI.
Blake Griffith hit .368 with five RBI off seven hits including two doubles while
Cherokee LeBeau hit .357 five hits and two RBI.
Last time out in league play:
- After dropping the first two games at Milwaukee,
Matt DiLeo hit 2-for-5 connecting on a three-run home run while
Myles Zilinsky added a solo shot helping Oakland snap an eight-game skid with a 6-5 win in the series finale.
Nick Parr picked up his third win of the season going 6.0 innings allowing only two runs (one earned) with a season-high seven strikeouts.
Austin Sherry also recorded his fourth save on the year going 2.0 innings in relief.
Ronnie Krsolovic and
Cherokee LeBeau each hit 2-for-4 with an RBI while
Mario Camilletti also posted two hits.

- DiLeo has reached base in 34 consecutive games and leads the team hitting (.323), hits (50), triples (2 - 8th Horizon League), runs scored (31) and total bases (72). He ranks second in home runs (4), stolen bases (11 – 9th HL), slugging percentage (.465) and on base percentage (.445 – 8th HL) and third in walks (27), RBI (24). He is also tied with team-best 12 multi-hit games with three 3-hit games.
