
ROCHESTER, Mich. – The Oakland baseball team hosts Central Michigan and Eastern Michigan in a pair of mid-week games beginning with the Chippewas on Tuesday, Apr. 9 followed by Eagles on Wednesday, Apr. 10. First pitch for both games is slated for 3 p.m. at the Oakland Baseball Field.
Notes:
- Oakland has won seven of its last nine games after taking two against visiting Milwaukee over the weekend to win the team's third consecutive league series.
- CMU is 23-8 on the season and 7-2 in Mid-American Conference play after taking two of three games from Ball State over the weekend. Last season, the Chips swept all three games winning 24-9 at Oakland, 8-4 at CMU and 16-3 at Comerica Park in Detroit, Mich.
- EMU is 7-24-1 on the season and 2-7 in Mid-American Conference play after claiming their first conference series winning two games over Bowling Green.
- Last week at EMU, Drew Demumbrum belted a three-run homer followed by a pair of two-run singles by Ronnie Krsolovic and Mario Camilletti which sparked a nine-run eighth inning rally propelling Oakland from an 8-2 deficit to 14-8 win. For the game, Camilletti hit 3-for-5 with five RBI while Mike McGee went 2-for-3 with four runs and three walks. Matt DiLeo added a pair of hits with an RBI, Cam Post also recorded two hits and Blake Griffith notched an RBI. On the mound, Ethan Hoffman picked up his first career win in relief as the Golden Grizzlies used seven different pitchers throughout the game.
