OAKLAND WELCOMES MILWAUKEE IN HOME OPENING DOUBLEHEADER

Golden Grizzlies and Panthers open series with doubleheader on Saturday, Apr. 6 at 11 a.m. followed by finale on Sunday, Apr. 7 at noon

ROCHESTER, Mich. –
After a 24-game road swing, the Oakland baseball team hosts Milwaukee in a home opening doubleheader beginning at 11 am on Saturday, Apr. 6 at the Oakland Baseball Field followed by the series finale on Sunday, Apr. 7 at noon.

Notes:
- Milwaukee is 15-10 on the season and 4-4 in league play after dropping a pair of games at UIC. The Golden Grizzlies and Panthers split the series 3-3 last season.
 
- Oakland enters the series winning five of the last six games after rallying from an 8-2 deficit with a nine-run eighth inning to beat Eastern Michigan 14-8 on Wednesday behind a three-run homer from Drew Demumbrum followed by a pair of two-run singles by Ronnie Krsolovic and Mario Camilletti. Camilletti finished the game going 3-for-5 with five RBI. On the mound, Ethan Hoffman picked up his first career win in relief as the Golden Grizzlies used seven different pitchers throughout the game.
 
- Demumbrum continues to swing a hot bat hitting .455 (5-for-11) with two doubles, a triple and five RBI with a .818 slugging percentage to lead Oakland to its second straight series win at NKU. In the opener, he was a home run away from hitting for the cycle going 3-for-3 with a triple, double and single with three RBI in the Golden Grizzlies 8-5 win. In the 3-2 setback, he accounted for both of Oakland's runs going 2-for-3 with an RBI double.
 
- Beau Keathley picked up his second consecutive win going 6.0 innings with eight strikeouts allowing no runs and only three scattered hits in Oakland's 4-0 win at NKU which secured the team's second straight league series
 
- Mike McGee leads the team in hitting (.321), hits (27) and doubles (7 – 5th HL) and runs (18 – 9th HL)
 
- Mario Camilletti also leads the team hits (27) and walks (23 – 2nd HL) and ranks second in RBI (17) and hitting (.310)
 
- Demumbrum leads the team and total bases (40) and in RBI (23 – 6th HL) followed by Myles Zilinsky (14) who is second in runs (17) and ranks fourth in hits (21)
 
- Matt DiLeo ranks third on the team in batting (.301) and hits (25) and fourth in RBI (10) with Blake Griffith
 
- Zilinsky and Demumbrum lead the team in home runs (3 – T-10th HL) followed by DiLeo and Griffith and (2)
 
- On the mound, Keathley leads the team and the league in strikeouts (54) and has recorded double figure strikeouts twice this season at Morehead State (12) and at YSU (13)
 
Nick Parr went 6.0 innings allowing only three hits with three runs and five strikeouts to pick up his first win of the season at NKU (3/29) with Austin Sherry also picking up his first save of the season
