
ROCHESTER, Mich. – With rain in the forecast, the Oakland Softball game against Western Michigan has been moved up to tomorrow, Apr. 30 in Kalamazoo, Mich. The doubleheader is scheduled for 1 pm and 3 pm.
The Golden Grizzlies are coming off of a 2-1 series win over Green Bay in which
Lauryn Debono and
Hayley Bartholomew tallied wins, bumping Oakland's conference record to 9-14.

-In game one against Green Bay, senior
Kelsie Swanson hit 4-for-4, including her first home run of the season, a triple, three RBI and two runs scored.

Lauryn Debono pitched a complete game shutout in game one over the Phoenix allowing only three hits.

Jessie Munson proved to be a tough out all weekend long against Green Bay as she recorded three hits in game two, as well as two hits in game two.

Jamie Squires has been a force in conference play with 25 hits in 66 at bats, good for a .379 average. In conference play alone, Squires has recorded 15 RBI with three doubles and three home runs.

Lauren Griffith has continued her strong freshman campaign as she has three home runs in conference play, good for a .345 average and a team high .569 slugging percentage.
