OAKLAND RESUMES LEAGUE PLAY WITH WEEKEND SERIES AT WRIGHT STATE

Golden Grizzlies and Raiders open series on Friday, Apr. 12 at 3 p.m. followed by a doubleheader on Saturday, Apr. 13 beginning at 1 p.m.

ROCHESTER, Mich. –
The Oakland baseball team resumes league play with a weekend series at Wright State beginning on Friday, Apr. 12 at 3 p.m. and concludes with a doubleheader on Saturday, Apr. 13 beginning at 1 p.m. at Nischwitz Stadium.
 
Oakland Projected Rotation:
Fri. Game 1: #33 RHP Nick Parr
Fri. Game 2: #30 RHP Andrew Hoffmann
Sun. Game 3: #21 RHP Beau Keathley

Notes:
- Defending Horizon League champion Wright State is 21-11 overall on the season and sits in second place at 7-5 in league play after going 1-2 at Northern Kentucky. The Golden Grizzlies went 2-4 against the Raiders last season.

- Oakland has won eight of its last 11 games overall. With the game tied and bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth inning, Ronnie Krsolovic delivered a clutch game-winning walk-off single giving Oakland a thrilling 10-9 come from behind win over Eastern Michigan on Wednesday (4/10) at the Oakland Baseball Field. The Golden Grizzlies trailed 9-8 entering the ninth before Blake Griffith hit an RBI single to score Matt DiLeo tying the game at 9-9 and setting the stage for Krsolovic's heroics.
 
- In league play last weekend, the Golden Grizzlies took two games against visiting Milwaukee to win the team's third consecutive league series.
 
- For the second time this season, Beau Keathley was named Nike® Horizon League Pitcher of the Week after earning his third straight win posting eight strikeouts allowing only one hit off a bunt and one unearned run in 7.0 innings of work to lead Oakland to a 3-1 victory over Milwaukee in the series finale (4/7).
 
- Andrew Hoffmann posted a career-high nine strikeouts in 5.0 innings of work to record his first collegiate win while Blake Griffith blasted a three-run home run posting five total RBI to lead Oakland to a 12-5 win and doubleheader split in home opening action against Milwaukee (4/6). Cameron Fuller notched his first career save going 4.0 innings with five strikeouts. Krsolovic also hit a three-run home run with DiLeo going 2-for-4 with an RBI double and two-run single. The third inning proved to be the difference as Oakland nearly batted through the lineup twice posting nine runs in an inning for the second time this season.
 
- Mario Camilletti also leads the team hitting (.308), hits (32 – T10th HL) and walks (29 – 1st HL) and ranks fourth in RBI (17)
 
- Drew Demumbrum leads the team and total bases (50) and in RBI (25 – 6th HL) followed by Myles Zilinsky who is second in runs (20) and third in RBI (17)
 
- Mike McGee leads the team doubles (7 – 7th HL) and runs (21 – 9th HL)
 
- DiLeo ranks leads the team in triples (2) and ranks second on in batting (.303) and hits (31)
 
- Griffith and Demumbrum lead the team in home runs (4 – T-7th HL) followed by Zilinsky (3)
 
- On the mound, Keathley leads the team and the league in strikeouts (62) and has recorded double figure strikeouts twice this season at Morehead State (12) and at YSU (13)
 
- Nick Parr went 6.0 innings allowing only three hits with three runs and five strikeouts to pick up his first win of the season at NKU (3/29) with Austin Sherry also picking up his first save of the season
