ROCHESTER, Mich. – The Oakland tennis team swept Green Bay, 7-0 in the Golden Grizzlies' home opener Saturday afternoon from Bloomfield Tennis & Fitness.
 
Ava Thielman and Sofia Borcuti started things off, earning the 6-0 win in No. 1 singles over Green Bay's Theresa Tebon and Kimberley Kaome.
 
Samantha Galloway and Dasha Artamonova secured the doubles point for the Golden Grizzlies with a 6-1 win against Monika Gredzinski and Yazmin Glazbrook.
 
In singles play, Oakland (8-7, 2-1 HL) earned all six points to take the 7-0 victory over the Phoenix (3-10, 0-3 HL).
 
The Golden Grizzlies are back in action tomorrow against Milwaukee at Bloomfield Tennis & Fitness beginning at 4:30 p.m.
