
ROCHESTER, Mich. – The Oakland baseball team's long road swing continues with a Horizon League series at Northern Kentucky beginning on Friday, Mar. 29 at 1 p.m. followed by single games on Saturday, Mar. 30 and Sunday, Mar. 31 both at noon. This series was originally scheduled to take place at the Oakland Baseball Field. However, due to weather forecast and field conditions, the games were moved to NKU's Bill Aker Baseball Complex. Conversely, the Norse will now travel to Oakland for a three-game set on Fri-Sun., May 3-5.

- NKU is 4-18 on the season and 3-3 in league play dropping all three games against Milwaukee last weekend. The Golden Grizzlies and Norse split the series 3-3 last season.
- Last weekend, Oakland won its first Horizon League series winning two games at Youngstown State.
Beau Keathley was named Nike® Horizon League Pitcher of the Week and was also selected as one of Collegiate Baseball's National Players of the Week after a dominant performance on the mound going the distance tossing a complete game shutout allowing only three scattered hits while posting a career-high 13 strikeouts to lead Oakland to an 8-0 series clinching win over YSU. Keathley allowed just one hit in the first, second and ninth innings and retired 14 straight batters between the third and seventh innings.

Drew Demumbrum hit .375 going 6-for-16 recording nine RBI, four runs, two home runs and a double. In the second game, he hit 4-for-6 recording five RBI with a home run, two-run single and clutch two-run double in the top of the 11th inning to lead Oakland to a thrilling 7-5 decision giving the Golden Grizzlies their first win of the season. In the series clinching 8-0 win, Demumbrum recorded three RBI with a two-run home run.

Mario Camilletti leads the team hits (23 – 10th HL) and walks (19 – 2nd HL) and ranks second in hitting (.319 – 7th HL) and third in RBI (10)
