SOFTBALL LOOKS TO BOUNCE BACK AT RIVAL DETROIT MERCY

ROCHESTER, Mich. – The Golden Grizzlies will travel to Detroit Mar. 26-27 to take on rival Detroit Mercy in a three game series. The first game of the series will be played the 26^th at 4 p.m. while the final two will be played the 27^th at 2 and 4 p.m.

Oakland is looking to climb back into the league standings after dropping the series to Youngstown State 3-0.

NOTES

Brittney Miller ranks fourth in the Horizon League in average, slugging percentage and hits as well as third in on-base percentage.
Lauryn Debono and Mikayela Marciniak follow Miller in the on-base percentage category ranking fourth and fifth, respectively.
Mikayela Marciniak is patient as can be at the plate as she ranks tied for second in the league in walks with 15.
Marciniak is tied for the team lead in doubles and was named the Horizon League Softball Player of the week for the week of 3/12-3/19 – becoming the first Golden Grizzlies to earn the honor this season.
Lauryn Debono continues to lead on the mound, accounting for the teams lowest ERA of 4.16 with 33 strikeouts.
It was all Lauren Griffith in the YSU series as she hit .556, recorded five hits, three RBI's and hit her first home-run of her college career.
Last year, the Golden Grizzlies went 2-0 against the Titans, taking the series.
