CHICAGO – Ava Thielman recorded the lone point of the afternoon for the Golden Grizzlies as the Oakland tennis team fell to UIC Sunday, 6-1 from XS Tennis.
 
Thielman earned the win from the No. 1 singles spot, defeating UIC's lejla Colic, 6-0, 6-3 to record her 10th No. 1 singles win of the season, fifth in a row.
 
Oakland moves to 7-7 (1-1 HL), while UIC improves to 11-4 (2-0 HL). The Golden Grizzlies will welcome Green Bay and Milwaukee Saturday, March 30 and Sunday March 31 respectively, with both matches beginning at 4:30 p.m. at Bloomfield Tennis.
