
ROCHESTER, Mich. – The Oakland baseball team opens Horizon League play with a series at UIC beginning on Friday, Mar. 15 at 5:05 p.m. ET. The second game is slated for Saturday, Mar. 16 at 2:05 p.m. ET followed the series finale on St. Patrick's Day Sunday, Mar. 17 at 1:05 p.m. ET. All three games will be broadcast live from Les Miller Field at Curtis Granderson Stadium on ESPN+.

- Last season, Oakland went 1-2 at UIC with the Golden Grizzlies winning the series finale by the score of 2-1 behind
Jake Lee who tossed a one-hit complete game breaking a school Division I era game record with a career-best 14 strikeouts on Mar. 25. The corresponding home series between the two schools was rained out.

Mario Camilletti leads the team in hitting (.314), hits (16) and runs (8) while
Myles Zilinsky leads in RBI (11), home runs (2) and triples (2) and is third in hits (13).

Matt DiLeo leads the team in total bases (25), is tied for team lead in home runs (2) and ranks second in batting average (.292) and hits (14) with
Mike McGee who also leads the team in doubles (4) and runs (8).

Drew Demumbrum (12) and
Ronnie Krsolovic (10) have double fingers in hits.
Blake Griffith is also tied for the team lead in home runs (2) and ranks second in RBI (8).
- On the mound,
Beau Keathley leads the team in strikeouts (25) and RBI (4.29) and tallied a career-high a career-high 12 strikeouts earlier this season at Morehead State.
- The last time out, Oakland dropped a mid-week at Bowling Green, 6-3. Krsolovic connected on a RBI double and single while DiLeo belted his second home run of the season.
- Last weekend, Oakland dropped its final non-conference series of the season at Eastern Kentucky by the scores of 11-6, 16-10 and 2-1 in a doubleheader.
- In the series opener at EKU, Zilinsky recorded a two-run double while Camilletti, Demumbrum, McGee and Griffith each added an RBI as Oakland could not hold off EKU's late inning rally and came up short.
- In game one of the doubleheader, Oakland dropped a slugfest which saw the Golden Grizzlies record three hits with three home runs and two triples. Griffith hit a three-run home run and single to record five RBI while DiLeo hit 2-for-2 connecting on his first home run of the season. Zilinsky also hit a two-run shot while
Ronnie Krsolovic and McGee each added RBI triples.
- During game two, Keathley came out on the short end of a pitcher's duel with a strong outing posting seven strikeouts while not allowing a hit through 5.0 of 7.0 total innings.
