ORLANDO – Alexandra Whall , Amanda Nilsson and Dasha Artamonova won both their doubles match and singles competition to guide the Oakland tennis team to a 6-1 win over Florida A&M Friday from the USTA.
 
Whall and Nilsson earned a 7-6 (2) No. 2 doubles win, while Artamonova and Samantha Galloway picked up a 6-4 win in the No. 3 spot.
 
The Golden Grizzlies picked up five wins in singles play, including wins from Ava Thielman (No. 1: 6-1, 7-5), Darya Maltseva (No. 2: 6-4, 7-5), Artamonova (No. 3: 6-4, 6-1), Whall (No. 5: 6-1, 6-4), and Nilsson (No. 6: 6-3, 6-2).
 
Oakland has won five of its last six matches including three straight.
 
The Golden Grizzlies will travel to Ball State Saturday, March 2 to take on the Cardinals beginning at 1 p.m.
