DETROIT – Ava Thielman, went 3-0 on the day including two No. 1 single wins over Bowling Green and Case Western, and a doubles win with partner Samantha Galloway against Detroit Mercy on the final day of the Detroit Mercy Invitational Saturday.
 
Oakland defeated Detroit Mercy in doubles, 2-1 and Case Western in singles, 4-2. The Golden Grizzlies fell to Bowling Green, 5-1.
 
Alexandra Whall, Sofia Borcuti and Amanda Nilsson all picked up singles wins against Case Western.
 
Whall and Nilsson also recorded a 6-4 No. 2 doubles win over Detroit Mercy.
