LEXINGTON, Va. - Mike McGee went 3-for-4 with a RBI double and a pair of runs while Ben Hart and Ronnie Krsolovic and each added a pair of RBI as Oakland's late inning rally came up short falling 11-8 at VMI on Sunday in the series finale.
Ryan Fitzgerald also went 2-of-4 with a RBI while Mario Camilletti, Tyler Trovinger, Myles Zilinsky and Jordan Jackson each accounted for one of Oakland's 14 hits.
The Golden Grizzlies fell behind 7-0 before scoring eight runs, including three in the fifth and two in the sixth, over the last five innings to close the gap.
Oakland opens a series at Saint Louis on Friday, Mar. 9 at 4 p.m.
