ROCHESTER, Mich. - Despite cold weather conditions, Nick Parr was dialed in on the mound picking up his first win of the season going 7.0 innings while tossing a career-high nine strikeouts to lead Oakland to a 6-3 home opening win over visiting Milwaukee in the first game of a doubleheader on Friday. The Golden Grizzlies fell 16-6 in the nightcap.
Tyler Trovinger led the Golden Grizzlies in game one going 2-for-4 with two RBI, a double and a run scored. Jordan Jackson also hit 2-for-3 with a RBI and run while Ryan Fitzgerald and Mike McGee each added a RBI.

In the second game, Emerson Misch and Mario Camilletti each hit 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored. Fitzgerald hit his first career triple going 2-for-5 with a run scored while Blake Griffith added a RBI single.
The series finale is slated for Sat, Mar. 31 at 10 a.m. weather provided.
