MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Haley Zemmer tossed 5.2 innings allowing three earned runs and striking out seven batters as the Oakland softball team fell to Morehead State 3-2 Sunday afternoon at the Eagles Classic.

After being down 2-0 heading into the sixth inning, Brittney Miller drove in a run with a RBI-double. Shannon Carr tied the game with a RBI-single the next at-bat. Morehead State hit in the game-winning run in the bottom of the sixth to hang on for the win.

In game one against East Tennessee State, Madison Jones went 1-for-3 with a double as Oakland was blanked by ETSU 7-0.

The Golden Grizzlies will open Horizon League play next weekend at Northern Kentucky.
