MURRAY, Ky. -- Haley Zemmer earned her third win of the season by pitching 4.1 innings, allowing one earned run and striking out three batters as the Oakland softball team bested Rhode Island 10-2 during day two of the Racer Classic Saturday at Racer Field.

Madison Jones went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and three runs scored while Cammie Brummitt added three RBIs. Rachel Zerona hit in two RBIs and Jamie Squires recorded one RBI as well.

In game two, the Golden Grizzlies comeback fell short as they lost 9-6 against Evansville. Chelsea Wiggins got the start and pitched 3.1 strong innings, allowing just one earned run and struck out four batters.

Offensively, Kelsie Swanson led the way with two RBIs while Jones and Brummitt each added one RBI.
