SAINT LOUIS - Ronnie Krsolovic recoded a three-run triple while Mario Camilletti added a RBI single as Oakland battled but came up short, 6-4, in the first game of the doubleheader at Saint Louis.
Ryan Fitzgerald went 2-for-4 with a run with Drew Demumbrum adding a hit. After Oakland took a 3-0 lead off Krsolovic's triple, the fourth inning proved to be the difference as Saint Louis added six runs spearheaded by a two-run home run and three-run double.
Nate Schweers recorded eight strikeouts in relief of starter Nick Parr who had five strikeouts.

In the nightcap, the Golden Grizzlies had hits from Camilletti, Tyler Trovinger, Ben Hart and Thomas Miller. Despite only having four hits, Oakland drew five walks but were not able to push any runs across leaving eight runners on base.
Oakland will play at Michigan on Tuesday, March 13 at 4 p.m.
