KISSIMMEE, Fla. - Ben Hart went 2-for-4 with a RBI triple while Tyler Trovinger added a RBI single as the Oakland baseball team dropped the 2018 season opener to Pittsburgh, 9-3, at the Diamond 9 Sunshine State Series on Friday.

Ryan Fitzgerald also went 2-for-5 with two runs while Mario Camilletti and Mike McGee each recorded a hit. Jake Lee picked up the loss on the mound allowing only two earned runs.

Oakland resumes play on Saturday, Feb. 17 against Old Dominion at 11 a.m. followed by Iowa at 3 p.m.
