ROCHESTER, Mich. -- The Oakland men's basketball team will host Kalamazoo College for an exhibition game on Tuesday, Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. inside the O'rena. The game will be streamed live on ESPN+ and can also be heard on WDFN-AM (1130) with
Neal Ruhl and Dan Waterstradt on the call. Tuesday is part of a doubleheader with the women's basketball team playing at 4 p.m. Fans who purchase a ticket for the women's game will receive general admission bleacher seating for the men's game.
Last time out the Golden Grizzlies took down Hillsdale in exhibition play 67-61 behind
Xavier Hill-Mais' double-double.
INSIDE THE SERIES
- Kalamazoo leads 2-1.
- This is the first meeting between Oakland and Kalamazoo since 1973 when Gene Boldon (1968-76) was Oakland's head coach.
- The Hornets have never played a game inside the O'rena.
NOTES
- The 2018-19 Golden Grizzlies squad is full of new faces, returning just one starter in junior guard Brailen Neely.
- The Golden Grizzlies will return a number of players who sat out last year due to redshirting or injury, including: Brad Brechting (foot), Xavier Hill-Mais (redshirt), Jaevin Cumberland (knee) and Karmari Newman (redshirt).
- Oakland added graduate transfer Jordan Nobles who played his first three seasons at Eastern Michigan. Nobles is the lone senior on the team.
