ROCHESTER, Mich. -- The Oakland baseball team will face Central Michigan for a midweek matchup Wednesday April 5 in Mount Pleasant for the first of three scheduled games this month between the two teams.
The Golden Grizzlies are coming off being swept against first-place Wright State last weekend, but saw strong offensive numbers from freshman Drew Demumbrum who went 5-for-5 with three doubles, one triple, three runs scored and two RBIs in game two of the series. Last week in four games, Demumbrum went 8-for-15 hitting .533.
The Chippewas kicked-off their league opener series with a sweep over Miami (OH) last weekend, outscoring the Redhawks 24-12. CMU comes into the contest having won its last three series and five of its last six games.
