MILWAUKEE -- Connor Fannon struck out seven batters in 5.0 innings allowing just four hits and no earned runs as the Oakland baseball team fell to Milwaukee 4-3 on a walk-off hit Friday afternoon at Henry Aaron Field. Fannon's seven strikeouts ties a career-high.
Matt DiLeo drove in Zach Sterry for Oakland's first run of the game with a sacrifice fly in the top of the seventh inning while Tyler Pagano scored on a Milwaukee error during the same play. Pagano, who went 2-for-4, hit a RBI-single the next inning to give the Golden Grizzlies a 3-1 lead before the Panthers answered in the bottom of the inning with a two-run homer. Milwaukee's Ben Chally hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth to seal the win. Game two of the series will begin tomorrow at 2 p.m. ET
