DAYTON, Ohio -- Drew Demumbrum went 5-for-5 including three doubles, a triple and scored three runs to go along with two RBIs as the Oakland baseball team dropped game two of the series against Wright State 13-9 in extra innings Saturday afternoon.
Down 7-0 in the fifth inning, Ryan Fitzgerald capitalized on Demumbrum's first double of the day by driving him in with a RBI-single to get the Golden Grizzlies on the board. In the seventh, Oakland put up four runs highlighted by Demumbrum's second double of the day. Demumbrum drove in another RBI with a single in the eighth inning and Tyler Pagano tied the game with a fielder's choice in the ninth that drove in Tyler Janish.
Demumbrum hit his third double of the game in the 10th, but Oakland could not put the Raiders away, giving up six runs in the top of the inning. The series finale will begin tomorrow at 1 p.m. with Jake Lee getting the start for the Black and Gold.
