DAYTON, Ohio -- Conor Bowers tossed 7.0 innings allowing three earned runs and striking out five batters as the Oakland baseball team faltered game one of the series against Wright State 8-3 at Nischwitz Stadium.

The Golden Grizzlies capitalized on a pair of errors from the Raiders (16-7, 7-0 HL) in the eighth inning that started with a dropped fly ball by the shortstop with the bases loaded that scored Zach Sterry and Tyler Janish. Wright State balked during the next at-bat to score Tyler Pagano. Oakland (3-20, 1-3 HL) will continue the series tomorrow at 2 p.m.
