Game Notes
ROCHESTER, Mich. -- The Oakland baseball team travels to Tallahassee, Fla. For a three-game weekend series at No. 5 Florida State Friday, March 3 through Sunday, March 5 on Mike Martin Field at Dick Howser Stadium. The Golden Grizzlies will face a nationally-ranked team in the top five for the first time since 2011 when they opened their season with a series at No. 4 Oklahoma. All three games will be available online through ACC Network Extra.

Oakland (1-7) is coming off being swept at Eastern Kentucky in a three-game series including a pair of one-run losses. Four of Oakland's seven losses this season have come by two runs or less. Tyler Janish is currently riding a seven-game hitting streak and has reached base safely in all eight games this year. Jake Lee will take the mound on Friday, after tossing career highs in strikeouts his past two starts.
The Seminoles (6-2) scored three runs in the eighth inning against Jacksonville on Feb. 28 for a 6-5 comeback win. Last weekend they swept Samford in a three-game series and are riding a four-game winning streak currently. On Feb. 19, FSU defeated VCU 11-3 for head coach Mike Martin's 1,900th career win.
