MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Erin Kownacki tossed her second straight complete game going 6.0 innings with four strikeouts allowing one earned run as Oakland came up on the short end of a pitcher's duel falling to Western Illinois, 2-0 of the second day of action at the U of M Softball Tournament. The Golden Grizzlies also fell to Indiana, 16-4.

Devon Smith recorded a hit against WIU and RBI double against the Hoosiers while Mikayela Marciniak led the Golden Grizzlies going 2-for 3 with a RBI double and run scored.

Oakland concludes tournament play against Lipscomb on Sunday, March 12 at 10 am.
