ORLANDO - Kaley Waalkes threw 8.0 strong innings, allowing four runs, three earned and struck out six, and went 2-for-4 with one RBI to lead Oakland (6-3) to a 7-4 win in 9 innings over Morgan State (3-3) on Saturday at the Citrus Classic on ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. Erin Kownacki picked up the save for the Golden Grizzlies, striking out two.

Mikayela Marciniak led Oakland at the plate, going 3-for-4, with a walk and drove in two runs, while Devon Smith went 2-for-5, with one run scored and one RBI.
In game two of the day, Fordham's Madison Aughinbaugh (2-3) tossed a one-hit shutout, striking out four to lead the Rams past the Golden Grizzlies, 2-0. Kownacki threw another complete game for Oakland, scattering six hits and allowed two runs for her first loss in the circle this season.

Abbey Walewski broke up the no-hitter in the bottom of the sixth inning with an infield single. Aughinbaugh allowed just two base runners in the game en route to her one-hitter in the circle.
Oakland will head to Memphis, Tenn., for the UofM Softball tournament, March 10-12.
