ROCHESTER, Mich. - Baseball player Ian Yetsko has been named Oakland Student Athlete of the Week for the week of May 16-23 after his performances against Valparaiso, Michigan and Milwaukee.

Yetsko, a redshirt senior from Dewitt, Mich., hit .320 with four RBIs while scoring one run and drawing one walk over a six game span for the Golden Grizzlies. He capped off his final career home game with a walk-off single against Milwaukee on May 21 giving Oakland a 6-5 win in extra innings. He finished the regular season hitting .294 with a team-best 37 RBIs including 14 doubles and five home runs.

The Golden Grizzlies will enter postseason play as the No. 5 seed in the Horizon League Tournament playing No. 4 seed UIC in a single elimination game Wednesday, May 25 at noon.
