EAST LANSING, Mich. - Ian Yetsko went 2-for-4 with a RBI and a run scored, while starter Chris Van Dyke tossed 4.0 shutout innings to lead the Golden Grizzlies pitching staff as the Oakland baseball team topped Michigan State, 3-1, on Tuesday from McLane Stadium at Kobs Field.
The win snaps a 10-game losing skid to the Spartans, who came into the game receiving votes in all three top-25 polls, and is the first win over MSU since 2011. Oakland's six pitchers combined to give up just one run with four strikeouts without surrendering a walk and held Michigan State to just one extra-base hit with Nate Green picking up his fourth save of the season.
