Erin Kownacki (9-7) won her second consecutive outing in the first game going 7.0 innings allowing only five scattered hits with seven strikeouts while Haley Zemmer (2-3) picked up her second win of the season also going 7.0 innings with six strikeouts.
Kisman hit 5-for-8 over the two games with two runs, Cupp finished 3-for-7 adding a double and two runs while Johnson also went 3-for-7 with three RBI and two runs. Morgan Muron went 3-for-5 with a run while Lauren Mead added a two-run home run, her first of the season.
"The team came to play today! Erin had another strong outing on the mound and nothing was hit hard today off her," said head coach Connie Miner. "We opened it up offensively in the fourth and never looked back. We hit the ball hard all day as Courtnee hit two out and Sara added three RBI. Morgan also had three hits and we played very strong defense as well. In the second game, we gave them a couple runs early on and then we put some hits together and took the game over. Cupp and Lauren hit two bombs with runners on and Jackie and Marina made things happen as well for us. Haley struggled a little bit early on and then took control of her pitches holding them to only three hits. It was a total team effort today to complete the sweep over Valpo at their place. I am very proud of this team. We cannot wait to get back on the field and compete."
In game one with the score tied at 1-1 in the bottom of the fourth inning, Oakland's bats came alive with five runs on five hits highlighted by Johnson's two-run shot to center field.

In the night cap, Oakland fell behind 3-0 heading into the third inning. Maria Salinas scored on an error in the bottom half cutting the lead to 3-1.
