DAYTON, Ohio - Karine Celis and Juliana Guevara were straight-set winners for Oakland Sunday afternoon as the Golden Grizzlies dropped a 5-2 decision to Wright State. The loss dropped Oakland to 5-12, 1-4, while Wright State improved to 8-13, 2-4 HL.

Oakland fell behind 1-0 after doubles despite a solid 8-4 win at No. 2 doubles by Tamara Blum and Elizabeth Guy. But the Raiders were able to outlast Oakland at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles to take the early lead.

In singles action, Celis won 6-3, 6-2 at the No. 2 position for her third Horizon League win of the season. Guevara improved to 4-1 against Horizon League foes with her 7-6 (2), 6-2 victory at No. 6 singles.

Oakland returns home for a two-game homestand next weekend, starting with UIC Saturday, April 12 at 4:30 p.m. at Bloomfield Tennis and Fitness.
