NEW ORLEANS - Oakland's men's and women's cross country teams have been named All-Academic teams by the United Stated Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for 2013. The teams have earned the award for eight straight years as academics continues to play an important role in the lives of these student-athletes.

In total 231 unique programs were recognized, including 146 programs that had both their women's and men's teams earn the honor. Oakland's men's team posted a 3.22 GPA while the women earned a 3.41.
