INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – After another stellar run at the George Dales Invitational in Kalamazoo over the weekend, freshman Eliza Bush was named the Horizon League's Women's Runner, as well as, Freshman of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.

The Dexter, Mich. native earned second place at the invitational, finishing the 6k in 21:12.30 and led the Oakland women to a fifth place finish. Bush made her Golden Grizzly debut at Oakland's home meet in late August. She earned the individual title, wrapping up the new trail in first place with a 18:41.05 5k finish.

The Golden Grizzlies are back on the course at the Joe Paine Invitational, hosted by Notre Dame, on Oct. 3 in South Bend.
