Chris Van Dyke wins OU Student-Athlete of the Week after striking out a career-best 13 batters and hitting a home run to lead the Golden Grizzlies to two league victories over Fort Wayne on Sunday.

Van Dyke, a sophomore from Denver, Colo., started Sunday by hitting a two-run home run to lead Oakland to a 5-0 victory. He followed his hitting performance with a 13-strikeout game on the mound in the nightcap in five innings, giving up only one unearned run on four hits for a 9-1 win over the Mastodons.

The Oakland baseball team will begin an eight-game road trip this weekend as they travel to South Dakota State for a four-game Summit League series.
