YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Cam Sabourin won her No. 4 singles match 6-3, 6-1 as the Oakland tennis team (2-8) dropped their match to Youngstown State Thursday at the YSU Tennis Courts.

"We didn't come to play in doubles and it set the tone for the singles matches," said coach Heather Redshaw. "We can't start out like that against a team like Youngstown. Cam (Sabourin) was very solid and earned a nice win in her singles match."

Karine Celis lost a tough opening set in No. 2 singles, falling 6-4 and was unable to recover as she lost the second set 6-2. After losing her opening set, Grace Keating almost forced a tiebreaker in the second set but fell short 6-4.

The Golden Grizzlies will be in action tomorrow as they face Akron starting at 6 p.m. at LaTuchie Tennis Center.
