Reggie Hamilton earns his sixth OU Student-Athlete of the Week honor after breaking the league single-season scoring record with 790 points and winning The Summit League Player of the Week award for the fifth time this season.
Hamilton has broke the single-season school records in points, free-throws made (216) and 30-point games (14). He currently has six consecutive 30-point games heading in to The Summit League tournament, which is also a school record.
Hamilton began the week by returning to UMKC and scored 31 points and grabbed a team-best seven rebounds. He dished out eight assists and made 18 of 22 free throws. The 18 makes from the foul line is tied for second-best in program history and tied for fifth in league history.
At South Dakota on Saturday night, Hamilton needed just eight points to break the single-season scoring record for The Summit League and finished with 31, shattering the old record of 766 set by North Dakota State's Ben Woodside in 2008-09. He grabbed five rebounds and dished out six assists, playing all 40 minutes.
This is Hamilton's 11th career OU Student-Athlete of the Week honor.
