Junior Travis Bader led Oakland to a 2-1 record last week, including wins over Horizon League favorite Valparaiso, 70-68, and defending MAC West champions Eastern Michigan, 59-57. Bader, a native of Okemos, Mich., scored 20.7 points per game and shot 39 percent (15-for-42) from beyond the arc.

In OU's only loss last week, Bader put on a tremendous performance on national television. The sharp shooter finished with a game-high 25 points at West Virginia in a tough 76-71 defeat. He finished 6 of 12 from long range.

The Golden Grizzlies and Bader will begin conference play this week at Western Illinois (12/27) and IUPUI (12/29).
